◆ The toolkit

One operation.
Every moving piece.

Forty-seven tabs, three spreadsheets, a shared Google Doc, and a paper planner. That's the average family's system. Replace it with a single source of truth that speaks parent and student fluently.

01 / Lists

A balanced college list, calibrated weekly.

Reach, target, and safety — continuously rebalanced against GPA, test scores, ECs, and the admit rate math your counselor wishes she had time to run.

02 / Deadlines

Never miss a date. Ever again.

Every deadline for every school for every student, rolled into one calendar. Early Decision, regular, priority, FAFSA, CSS, merit aid — all on autopilot.

NOV 01 · EARLY DECISION · STANFORD
03 / Essays

Essays that breathe.

Every prompt, every draft, version-controlled. Share with a counselor; never lose a line.

“I grew up on the edge of a wheat field in Walla Walla, where the wind wrote sentences I'm still learning to read
04 / Scholarships

Found money.

Scholarship pipeline matched to your student, deadlines stacked, applications templated.

Coca-Cola Scholars$20k
Local PTA Merit$2.5k
05 / Financial aid

The real price, before you fall in love.

Net-price modeling across schools. Stop comparing sticker; start comparing what you'll actually owe.

06 / AI matching

A quiet second opinion.

Trained on admissions data, not vibes. Ask “should Hazen add a safety in the Midwest?” and get specific, defensible answers — with a link to the math.

“Consider Miami of Ohio — 83% fit, generous merit aid for her SAT band, and the business program matches her stated goals.”
07 / Family view

One account. Every kid. No chaos.

Switch between students without switching apps. Hazen, Zoey, Isabella — each on their own timeline, all under one dashboard.

08 / Athletic recruiting

For the student-athlete.

Recruiting profiles, NCAA eligibility tracking, and coach outreach templates — built alongside the academic side, not bolted on.

09 / Course advisor

The right classes, sophomore through senior.

Course recommendations calibrated to target schools and intended major. AP, IB, dual-enroll — all mapped to what actually helps the application.

◆ The plan

Three weeks from
overwhelmed to organized.

No multi-thousand-dollar consultant. No fourteen-step onboarding. Just a process that works, tested across twelve thousand families.

i.

Build the profile.

Import transcripts, scores, activities, recs. One guided pass, fifteen minutes per student. The system learns your kid.

~ 15 min
ii.

Shape the list.

AI matching proposes a balanced portfolio — reach, target, safety. You argue with it, refine it, own it.

~ 45 min
iii.

Run the operation.

Deadlines on autopilot. Essays tracked. Aid modeled. You show up weekly; the system shows up every day.

~ senior year
◆ Two views, one household

Built for
the whole family.

Parents need to see the forest. Students need to live in the trees. Operation Diploma gives each what they need, without making either ask for permission.

For the parent

You're running
the operation.

  • A bird's-eye view across every student in the family
  • Financial-aid modeling — know the real price before you fall in love with a school
  • Deadlines surfaced seven, three, and one day out
  • Read-only share with the spouse, counselor, or grandparent footing the bill
“I finally stopped waking up at 3am wondering what I'd forgotten.”— Melissa K., mother of three
For the student

You're doing
the work.

  • A daily queue of what matters now, not what matters someday
  • Essay drafts that save themselves and track every revision
  • Test-score prep, built around where you actually are
  • A private space to explore schools without anyone breathing down your neck
“Mom stopped asking if I'd done my essays. Because she could see.”— Hazen R., senior
◆ Why we built this

A note from
the founders.

We're a small team of parents, former counselors, and engineers. We built Operation Diploma because we lived the spreadsheet chaos ourselves — and knew there had to be a better way.

Our oldest is a junior. We started building the tool we wished we had — and realized every family we talked to was running the same broken system of tabs, docs, and sticky notes. Operation Diploma is for them. And for us.

◆ Questions

What parents
ask first.

If yours isn't here, email hello@operationdiploma.com. A real person replies within a business day, often sooner.

Does Operation Diploma replace our college counselor?
+
No. It replaces the spreadsheet, the shared doc, and the sticky notes. Counselors love it — they can read-only access a student's dashboard and spend billable hours on strategy instead of data entry. If you don't have a counselor, OD is usually enough.
When should we start — sophomore year? Junior year?
+
Start as early as 9th grade to track activities and test prep, but most families sign up the summer before junior year when the weight of it all becomes real. The system scales down gracefully if you start later — we've onboarded families in August of senior year.
Is my kid's data safe?
+
SOC 2 Type II. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit. We don't sell data. We don't train our AI on individual student essays. FERPA-aligned retention. The full security posture is on our trust page.
Can both parents see the dashboard? Grandparents?
+
Yes — add up to four co-owners and unlimited read-only viewers on the Family plan. Granular permissions per student. The co-parent who hasn't been involved can finally catch up without a two-hour download.
What about multiple kids at different stages?
+
The Family plan is explicitly built for this. Hazen is a senior, Zoey a sophomore, Isabella in 8th grade — each on their own track, all rolled up into one parent view. Switch between them in a tap.
Do you share or sell data to colleges?
+
Never. A college can only see what a student formally submits through their own admissions portal. Operation Diploma is a private workspace for your family.
